How Federal Agencies Honor Black History Month
As an annual observance each February, Black History Month was created to focus attention on the contributions of African Americans in the United States – from activists and civil rights pioneers to leaders in industry, politics, science, culture and more.
Many federal agencies honor Black History Month. Here’s a rundown of some of their observances:
NASA: Each year, NASA shines a spotlight on the stories behind its African American scientific pioneers – in the past and today. Learn more here.
